July August 2010
It probably starts out during puberty. This obsession with relationships.
From there, we spend much of our adult life time forging relationships in the office, working on (or working out) relationships with lovers and or mending relationships with family members.
Biology and psychology teach us that it is an instinctive human need to be wanted, desired and loved. In the course of satisfying this need for validation and approval of others – colleagues, lovers and family members, all too often, it is the relationships that we have with ourselves that we forget to take care of.
For the month of July– August, let Sex and Sensibilities together with our SASsy partners take you on a journey of self-love.
Sexual (health) make -up
First up, together with MAC Viva Glam, we treated SAS readers to a FREE sexual health and make-up workshop, the first of its kind. During that afternoon of female bonding, we talked about emotional safe sex which is all about making yourself feel protected and secure both physically and emotionally.
From our SASsy friends at The Strip, find out how sexiness can come from within. For our promo where we’re giving out a FREE Brazilian Wax, women are telling us what they love about going Brazilian. We’re so loving their replies about how it’s all about doing things for themselves to make them feel sexy, you like, like getting a manicure or a pedicure.
And all the way from Vienna, we’re going to kick up the SASs at this year’s AIDS 2010 global conference. There will be interesting news from former president Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and from Annie Lennox who is this year’s UNAIDS ambassador.
Though SAS cannot be in Vienna, our friends at Pleasure Project (you can bet these ladies know a thing or two about self-love) will keep us up to speed on what’s happening from the conference as our featured guest bloggers for this month.
Lastly, SAS would like to offer its whole-hearted thank you to Dual Action Blender, our digital ad agency partner who has upped the SASs with website additions such as the SAS quotient, the videos shown during the Triple S Sexual Health workshops and the really funky poster campaigns. : )
Dual Action Blender believes that captive audiences are a thing of the past, always comes up with ads that create its own audiences. And as we can see from your response, we can see that you’ve loving the element of spunk they bring to the website.
