Greetings!

The Reproductive Health Practitioners of the Philippines is a national network of health professionals and practitioners primarily composed of medical doctors, nurses and midwives on reproductive & sexual health & rights services, education and research.

This year, we are honored to host the “1^st National Conference of Reproductive Health Practitioners of the Philippines” with the theme “Recommitting to Reproductive Health: Uniting Health Practitioners for Strengthening RH Services and the Passage of a Reproductive Health Law” this coming June 6-8, 2011 at Sulu Riviera Hotel, Quezon City. This will be a gathering of 100 key healthcare practitioners & leaders from medicine, nursing & midwifery nationwide. We shall also seek a dialogue to legislators in both Houses of Congress to discuss the RH Bill. At the end of this 3-day conference we shall also declare a unified statement to support the RH Bill in both Houses.

We are having an open invitation to our friends in the media who might be interested to attend the sessions. We would be glad to have you and to listen to our distinguished experts talk about issues revolving reproductive health care, practice & services; ovulation, fertilization, implantation & embryonic development; contraceptive methods, client-centered care & medical eligibility criteria; Filipino sexuality beliefs & practices; and RH implications to health systems among others. Attached is our tentative program.

In June 8, we will also be having a brief Press Conference at 12:30NN over lunch. This press conference will be the releasing the unified statement of support of the health practitioners to the RH Bill.
